Course Objectives:

• Understand the operating characteristics of 180 through 450 ton RTHD machines.
• Understand chiller's construction and the physical relationship of components.
• Know mechanical operation of compressor design, loading and unloading, EXV, oil distribution and machine maintenance.
• Learn Falling Film Evaporator construction, operation and troubleshooting.  Use unit wiring diagrams to troubleshoot unit diagnostics.
• Learn the CH530 control architecture, starte sequence and operating logic.
• Learn to troubleshoot unit diagnostics.
